processes, critical CNC machines and CMMs have to be calibrated and
stay online to make complex, high-precision close-tolerance parts,
assemblies and tooling. Without calibration, scrap parts are a
critical problem that increases production time and costs. Yet
taking machines off line while waiting for an outside calibration
service and tearing down the equipment is very costly, even if done
in-house. Optodyne’s laser calibration, allows substantial cost and
downtime reduction with in-house calibration by eliminating the need
to remove machine covers or otherwise tear down such CNC machines as
